Ann Dumaliang is a conservationist working in the mountains of the Philippines. She is currently using her and her organization’s background in management, and estate planning and development, to conserve pinnacle karst formations in Baras, Rizal. Her responsibilities span product development, stewardship development, visitor management, and communications.
As a group, the Masungi Georeserve Foundation focuses on using geotourism and the geopark model as a bottoms-up guide to conservation, development, and aiding rural growth. The group serves as a local model for privately-led conservation, sustainable forest restoration, responsible man-nature interaction, and local and innovative design adapted to the country’s realities.
